Holly and Natalie's study den

Natalie stood outside the portrait of the moaning moonstone witch with a forlorned expression on her face. She kept glancing at her watch. She was waiting on her friend Holly, one of her Gryffindor friends.

"Where is she?" Natalie exclaimed impatiently.

"JAMIE!!!!!!!" Natalie yelled.

Shadow put a finger in the ear closest to Natalie and re sent her telepathic message.

"Can you here him?" Natalie asked.

"I can sense him, but not clearly." Shadow replied.

"Where is he?" Holly asked, and then felt stupid, because she knew that if Shadow knew where he was she would have told them

"Oh.....what do you sense, where is he?" asked Natalie

"I can't locate him, and answer five thousand questions all at once!" Shadow said angrily, a nearby statue exploding.

"Sorry, our bad," Holly said quickly, shutting up, "And technically it was two ques- never mind,"

"Oh no....what if he's hurt.....oh dear, oh dear!" said Natalie, panicing.

"If he was hurt, his mind would automatically send a distress call to all friendly minds around. I have recieved nothing." Shadow assured.

"OI! Chill out Natzo," Holly said, "Now there has to be a perfectly logical explanation as to where Jamie is. I just dont know what that locical explanation is!"

"Oh, Holly....stop trying to be logical, we all know I'm the logical one," said Natalie, "and stop yelling at me, I'm a sensitive wee soul."

"Yelling at you? Was I? Oops ma bad! Sorry, will slushies make it all better?"

"Maybe...." said Natalie, grinning, "depends what colour."

Jamie walked around the corner,

"WHAT!!!!!!! ON EARTH DO YOU WANT!" Jamie head heard them yelling for ages but i took him a while to get the sense of direction to where in the large floor they where

"Now he chooses to turn up, oh gracious lord of Erica." Shadow said, smiling.

"JAMIE....I WAS SO WORRIED!" said Natalie, hugging her friend.

Jamie walked over to the girls.

"the lord of Eric happens to be me, well one of them! and as for you miss. Natalie sowwwrrrrryyyyyyyyyyy......" he looked sort of half sorry

Shadow curtsied to Jamie, smiling.

" If i really cared about my royality you would be doing alot more than curstying let me tell you that!" he smirked at Shadow "but still im not complaining... if you wish to treat one like someone of royal blood thats jolly-well fine by me!" he said poshly

"Some one of royal blood who could get their butt kicked by a girl of the peasant population." Shadow said, trying to hide her smile.

"peasent, hupmh, i wouldn't dream of it my darling" he said still acting posh " you would be my queen and then you'd be able to kick my butt something serious!"

" 'Darling'?" Shadow said, smiling evilly. Raven cringed. Shadow backflipped to behind Jamie before swinging one leg round, aiming to take his legs out from under him.

Jamie tripped but flipped back up again, he swung his leg high up over er head and back down to the ground again

"if you think your can kick then think again, i study ballet and kick boxing.." he said trying to get an impressed look

"Ballet and kick boxing?" Shadow said, trying to hide her amusement. She launched a flying kick at Jamie.

Jamie flipped out of the way...

"it was to help the defence side of the kick boxing, i can dance my way around objects such as your foot easier than the big bulky kick boxers you'd normally see." he told her

he jumped in the air and aimed at kick at her head

Shadow grabbed Jamie's foot, throwing him towards the ground.
"I was fighting as soon as I could walk." Shadow said.

"humph, i guess i was rapped in cotton wool until i was about six" Jamie told her getting up from the floor, "still pritty young though don't you think?" Jamie flipped over to behind Shadow and grabbed the legs from underneath her

Shadow got one foot loose and kicked Jamie before backflipping away again.
"In the past of this dimension, noble sons would be training at that age."

"i wasn't at all noble in my place of birth, noblity was for the rich and powerful not for the wise and cunning, i guess everything is good up their now but i and my frinds of the time could have been worked harder.." Jamie thought aloud

Shadow shrugged, balanced in a low fight stance.
"Where I come from, girls normally started fighting when they were 10, and it was the same for boys."

"sounds like hard hard work, how come you got early training? was it because of what had to happen with your father?" Jamie asked

"Pretty much, yes." Shadow answered.

"your fatyher was ssooooooo over protective of you wasn't he" Jamie commented sarcastically "what did your mother think?" he asked her

"My mother... was killed when I was 5." Shadow said softly.

"can you remember her?" jAMIE ASKED

Shadow nodded, closing her eyes.
"I was there when she was killed, I saw it."

"it must have been hard, were you two close?" he asked her hoping this wasn't too hard for her to say

"Not really, Raven and I weren't really allowed to see her." Shadow replied.

"don't you have any other siblings?" he asked realising he's never asked before

"A half brother, Caleb blood dragon von nechrark." Shadow said.

"english please," jamie lightened up a little

"He's a half-vampire. Don't ask me where he got his name from." Shadow said, smiling slightly.

"half vampire, ok, one of your family i don't ever want to meet!" he said quickly

"He's not that bad." Shadow said, "as long as you make a point not to make him mad."

"Half vampire eh?" said Natalie, "is he....you know..." she wanted to phrase her worlds carefully, "ok....you know.....he doesn't...like....bite everyone he sees does he?"

Shadow shook her head.
"He only feeds when neccesary, and usually, Raven or I will ive him some of our blood as it will keep him going for longer."

Natalie grimaced.

"Is it not painful?" asked Natalie.

Shadow shook her head again.
"We give him a vial of blood each, we won't let him anywhere near our necks."

Holly shivered.
"Sometimes im glad to be an only child," she said, but then quickly added, "But Im sure your brother's very nice,"
