Holly and Natalie's study den

First topic message reminder :

Natalie stood outside the portrait of the moaning moonstone witch with a forlorned expression on her face. She kept glancing at her watch. She was waiting on her friend Holly, one of her Gryffindor friends.

"Where is she?" Natalie exclaimed impatiently.

"Cool name," said Natalie, still looking at the Raven, "is he friendly?"

Shadow nodded.
"Raven tamed him."

"Ah, I see....so he's closer to her," said Natalie, understanding.

"Yeah." Shadow replied, "But that doesn't mean that I can't control him."

"It's probably because your siblings....the ability to control this raven is in your blood," said Natalie.

"I don't know the science or the magic of it." Shadow replied, shrugging.

"Ok," said Natalie, "so, does he do the same jobs as an owl, you know, like post and stuff," said Natalie.

Shadow nodded.
"That was the principle of his training, yes."

"Good job," said Natalie, "it's always handy to have something like that flying around the house," Natalie said, laughing at her joke.

Suddenly, the door flew open.
It was Hayley.
"HOLLY!" she said excitedly, and sat herself in a beanbag next to her friend, "Who are your friends?"

Natalie immediately recognised the girl.

"Hayley? Is that you," said Natalie, "It's Natalie....remember?"

Shadow leapt five feet in the air as the door burst open, accidentally teleporting. She swore loudly when she realised that her arm was stuck in a wall.

"Oh yeah, hiya Natalie, I kinda remeber" said Hayley

Holly looked up when Shadow moved.
"Woah there buddy," she said, "You alright...and Haylez, this is Jamie, Natalie whom you know, and Shadow, a friend of mine, and her sister Raven,"

Shadow managed to teleport out of her 'situation', appearing next to Raven.

"Well Hayz, I saw you were sorted into Gryffindor....just like Holly and I....were all into inter-house co-operation....it's pretty cool," said Natalie.

Shadow watched the newcomer with her usual, emotionless, expression on her face. She was unsure of how this new person would react to her.

Natalie saw Shadows expressionless face but automatically know what she was thinking.

"She's cool....don't worry, and she's really nice," said Natalie in a quiet, reasuring voice.

Shadow glanced at Natalie, a slightly questioning look on her face.

Holly nodded reassuringly.
"Um, Hayley Shadow is....is half a demon you see...,"

"But she's really cool," Natalie put in, "and she is such a good friend."

Hayley had a slightly unreadable expression on her face.
"Well, it's nice to have some variety, right?" she said, putting out her hand.

"Wayhay!!!!" Natalie cheered

Shadow wasn't as convinced. She watched Hayley warily.

Holly glanced from one to the other and then said in a falsely cheerful voice, "Time for introductions later! The important thing is....um....whats the important thing again George?"
George looked taken back.
"Erm...yeah....the important thing is that....we.....we all have friends?"
Holly blinked.

Jamie seen the new girl but didn't really take much notice

Hayley coughed quietly.
"Well, um, how...how is everyone?"

Shadow didn't reply, and neither did Raven.

"I'm good Hayley....what about yourself?" Natalie asked Hayley kindly.

"Im good too," Holly said, and then nudged Shadow. Holly gave her a quizzical "are you alight" kinda look.

Raven glanced at Shadow, and shook her head.
"WAKE UP SHADOW!" She yelled into her sister's ear. Shadow jumped, and glared at raven.
"What?"
"You zoned out again."
"Oh."

Hayley was slightly confused at the strange goings on. "Right okay.Yeah Nat, I'm good too," she said looking at her friend.

Shadow retreated at a dark corner, followed by Raven. From there, they watched Hayley carefully.

Hayley looked at Shadow. "Are, are you okay?" she asked her, with a confused look on her face.

Shadow didn't answer, she just watched Hayley.

"Did I do something? Cause if i did, I'm sorry," said Hayley

There was still no reply from the twins.

Holly glanced from one to the other.
"Do you trust me Shadow?" she asked.

Shadow nodded her head once.

"Thanks. Hayley's a decent person. Just....know that before you judge her. Obviously im not focing any of you to be friends.....,"
Holly smiled slighty at Shadow.

Shadow glanced at Hayley before turning back to Holly.
"I don't trust her." She said softly.

Holly swalllowed, not wanting to start a fight.
"Bad aura?" she whispered, and ten straightened up, "So who wants slushies?"

"Doesn't seem right, my mind is warning me not to." Shadow replied.

Holly nodded as if she understood.
"Mm....,"

"You do not understand." Shadow said, having sensed it.

Hayley looked slightly taken aback.
"Well, okay...I suppose i can't argue with that, but if that's how you feel...." she said.

"It;s the way I am." Shadow replied.

"Okay" said Hayley quietly.

Shadow remained silent. She and Raven hovered a few feet in the air to meditate quietly.

Holly glanced from one to the other, not sure whos side to be on.
She decided she would be on no ones.
"Um...I hear theres a Hogsmede trip tomorrow," she said as a change of subject, "You guys coming?"
