Holly and Natalie's study den

Natalie stood outside the portrait of the moaning moonstone witch with a forlorned expression on her face. She kept glancing at her watch. She was waiting on her friend Holly, one of her Gryffindor friends.

"Where is she?" Natalie exclaimed impatiently.

"Yeah...Riley,"
And Holly sighed.

Shadow watched the other girls, glad that the hood over her face stopped them seeing her smile.

Holly grinned.
"What you grinnin' at Shad?" she asked.

Shadow quickly wiped the emotion from her face.
"Nothing."

Holly raised her eyebrows at her but did not pursue the matter any further.

"Mmm...but wasn't there a conner too.....and a William," said Natalie grinning.

"Yup. But not at the same time.....obviously.....,"
Holly's eyes shifted.

"Sureeee it wasn't," said Natalie smiling.

"Oh Holly, you liar," said Hayley laughing.

"Thanks for that Haylestones," Holly said eyebrows raised.

Daisy looked at her sister, mumbled somthing about meeting someone in the Great Hall, and walked outof the room.

"And bye to you too," said Hayley sarcastically. Then she turned sharply to Holly. "Haylestones? Well, I guess you can be......Holly-water, you know instead of Holy Water.." she dreamily looked at the ceiling, in a trance.

"Riiiiiight," Holly said, "Now Im gonna go get those nice men with the nice nets, and you can leave......"
She was being sarcastic of course.

"Well...we established earlier that I am now NatNerd....I like it...it's cutting edge." said Natalie.

Shadow and Raven exchanged odd looks.

Hayley saw their expression and laughed. "You know, she said to Holly and 'NatNerd', we do scare people,"

The twins shrugged.
"People in our dimension don't do things like this." Shadow explained.

"Have you been back to you dimension lately...is it a scarely place at the moment...is there still a war going on?" asked Natalie

"Yeah, I went back recently. We've got a break in the wave of attacks at the moment." Shadow said.

Oh...really...was it hit hard?" asked Natalie, looking worried.

Shadow nodded gravely.
"We've lost 160 people so far. Even the older children are being called up and the younger are being sent to other dimensions. No one's seen a war like this before."

Holly drew breath.
"Thats bad," she said, "Im sorry,"

"Aww...thats terrible...is Raven ok?" asked Natalie

"We're a peaceful dimension normally, but this is bad." Shadow said. Raven appeared and grabbed her arm.
"We gotta go!"
"Right, well, hope to see you soon." Shadow said as the twins disappeared.

Holly had no chance to react.
"A-Alright then!" she called after them. She turned to Natalie.
"Where'd they go then?"

"Oh no....what if they went to their dimension....should we use George to go after them?" asked Natalie worriedly

Hayley had been silent during this conversation, but as the sisters left she said, "I hope they're okay,"

"Me too....Holly....what should we do?" asked Natalie

"I know Shadow doesn't really like me, but I still feel like we should help or something," Hayley looked confused.

"Shadow does like you....I know it....she's just a bit uneasy around you." said Natalie, "and and her just need to get to know each other."

Hayley shook her head. "Thanks Nat, but she doesn't, she says she She doesnt trust me" her fingers sketched quotation marks around the phrase.

Holly shrugged.
"What do you reckon? We might need to save her of something....I dunno,"

"Yeah...do you want to go....I think we should," said Natalie, "to help her."

"We dont even know if she went to her dimension!" Holly argued, "Plus, how would we find her if she did!"

"I dunno...just go the thre- I mean...think like a demon, and hope for the best," said Natalie.

((Natalie was going to say 'just go the the thread.'))

Holly looked doubtful.

"I'm sure she'll be ok like," said Natalie, "I have all the faith in the world in Shadow...I'm just...worried."

"Me too," Holly agreed finally, "But that girl can take care of herself. As she can of us."
George nodded.

"That's the truth," said Natalie.

"In all seriousness," said Hayley pointedly, "If her dimension is as...dangerous as she says, there really is nothing we can do. Except...wait." she shrugged.

"What if something bad happens to her?" Holly asked.

"Don't even," replied Hayley with a stern look, "We'll just have to...hope for the best."

"Holly's right...but how how do we know for certain that's where she's gone." asked Natalie.

Shadow and Raven appeared again, clad in their armor, helmets under their arms and arguing.
"Raven, it was only a glancing hit, I'm fine!"
"Don't give me that, last time you said that, you nearly died!" Shadow spotted the others.
"Hello." She said.

Holly stared at them.
"Where have you been?" she demanded, "Ive been worried sick!"

"Oh yeah, dimensional time..." Raven muttered.
"In our dimension, fighting a battle." Shadow replied.

Hollys eyes widened.
"Howd it go?"

Shadow shrugged, and Raven glared at her.

"Not good?" Holly guessed.

"Shadow is going straight up to the hospital wing." Raven said.
"Raven, I told you, it's not serious!" Shadow retorted.
