masquerade ball

I pm'd elfie and asked and she said it was fine as it will get people into the spirit for the big masquerade event later on.

so here we are, a masquerade ball


::the great hall was decorated with a spectacular array of lights and tinsel as it awaited the arrival of the students in masks::

::She walked into the hall, mask on her face, wondering whether anyone would recognise her::

Jess Giggled and rolled her eyes. "That is not what it says! now give me back my book!" She tries to snatch the book back from him.

::Lifey smirked as the pie simply flung itself away from her due to her protective charms::

::Lifey sighed, smiled and walked over to Kee to plan her revenge::

:Keelin stopped her laughin as Lifey came and walked up to her. She started whipering to her about a plan of revenge against jesse.:

Jess stops mid grab and sits to think on weather she would rather be Jess or Tess.. no Jess is good for balls.

"Jesse give me back my book!" tries to grab it again.

(Oooo, a masquerade ball??)

:Rae wasn't sure if the ball had started or not, but she knew she was late. She had heard that there had been quite a commotion and decided to check it out for herself. Upon enetering the hall she looked around. The prefects had done a wonderful job on the decorations! They were amazing!:

:There weren't many people in the hall as she had expected only a few stranglers here and there and couples sitting at tables, surmised into conversation. She didn't recognize anyone due to their costumes, which caused her to look down at her own.

:She sported an emerald green dress with white roses on the right hip, it complimented her dark skin. Her mask was shimmering white with black outlining as her black curls cascaded around her face . She had used body art on her body, which brought her to the conclusion that she had no clue what she was. She probably looked most ridiculous in her outfit, but shrugged it off:

Maybe something to drink will calm my nerves. she thought and walked over to the refreshment bar, but her foot caught a chair and she felt herself falling.

:Keelin caught the girl and pushed her into a chair.:

"You might wanna be careful, this is an accident pron area." She smiled at the girl. "I like you're costume, very creative!"

~Jesse gave Jess back her book and then leaped down from the rafters onto a table grinning proudly as the messy room that was covered in paintballs and chuckled~

"Well, perhaps I shall tidy up a bit since we're getting more people to come here" He said as he whipped his wand out and cleaned up everything~

~Then he went around waving his wand at people and cleaning up their clothes that he had helped ruin from the juice he'd dumped on the room~

~Finally he made sure that he'd cleaned himself up as well and strolled around the room, mingling with many of his dear friends that were here~

~The chaotic scene was now quiet and peaceful once more and Jesse sighed as he wandered over to get himself a grape soda drink~

~Then rock music began playing and he decided to look around for someone to dance with~

::Ginny sighed and walked back into the Ball room. She had just come back from the Little Badger Girl's Room-had to touch up her make up -when she heard some Rock music playing. A slight smile played across the red head's lips::

"Now, this is more like it,"

~Jesse couldn't help but play air guitar, he was engrossed in the music and tapping his foot in time to the music~

::She laughed at the masked person doing air guitar::

"Interesting..." ::she said to herself as she walked out to the dance floor and started dancing with a guy in a dark green mask who came up to her.::

~He grinned and waved his wand and his gibson flying v guitar flew into his hands. "Accio guitar pick!" He said and then his fav green striped metallic pick flew to him~

"Let's rock!" He said as he started playing along with a bon jovi song that suddenly started blasting from the speakers~

::Lifey laughed at her brother before going to join a friend she had spotted at the other end of the hall.::

::eventually, Lifey and her group of friends made their way, nice dresses and all, into the center of the dance floor, dancing and looking like idiots::

::the next song started and Lifey was thrilled to hear the American Rejects song Dirty Little Secret::

:She shouted to her friends before pulling them up onto the dance stage with her.::

::She joined the chorus::

~Jesse chuckled and after finishing his nice long guitar solo he sent his guitar and pick away and strolled over to Lifey and her friends~

"Hello sister and everyone. Having a good time?" He then strolled about waving to his friends, then greeting everyone who crossed his path~

~He strolled past Ginny and her male companion, nodded to them then continued to meet and greet everyone~

~He wasn't too into the song that was playing so he took a seat at a table, picking up a napkin and wiping the sweat from his brow slowly. Then he adjusted his mask that had become a little lopsided and straightened it to hide his identity~

::Ginny smiled to her friend-let's call him Nic, shall we?-and walked over to the punch bowl and grabbing herself a cup.((Lavender: DONT DO IT! PUNCH IS BAD!!)) She sipped the punch daintily, wondering briefly if someone had spiked it.::

"Oh well, it would make the evening a bit more interesting,"

~He stood up and then strolled over to the refreshment table and got himself a cup of punch~

~He nodded to Ginny and her date Nic~ "Hey guys, how's it going?" He asked. Then sipped his punch, it tasted a bit bitter though and he scrunched his nose up.~ "I believe this has sit out for too long." He commented.~

::Lifey waved marrily to her brother as he passed, and for the heck of it, cast a charm over him that would cause him to giggle like a girl whenever the word "punch" was mentioned::

(that was for quidditch)

::She grinned before casting another that would cause him to skip in a circle when people speak to him::

(thats cause i'm your sister and thats what sisters do best)

::She glidded off to get something to eat, and found a bowl of rasberrys to her liking. She was just reaching for another handful, when her hand collided with another (cheeeeeseyness!!! *squees*). She looked up to see a tall, dark boy grinning back.::

Sorry,::Lifey smiled:: We both seem to have the same tastes ::she added flipping her hair over her shoulder::

::Lifey and her mystery guy chatted for several minutes...then his girlfriend showed up (scratch that, that was a joke) chatted for several minutes, before heading off to get butterbeers together::

::Ginny took a sniff of the punch and then slowly drank some more of it::

"Hm, tastes fine to me. Perhaps this punch is not up to the standards you're used to?" ::She suggested with a small smile.:: ((*is tempted to make her say Punch punch punch punch punch*))

::Lifey and her companion arrived just in time to see jesse giggling so girlishly and skip in such happy circles that several people were starting to stare::

Maybe you had too much Punch

::she said to her poor dear brother::

~Jesse wondered why he was skipping and giggling and was quite embarassed to be doing that in front of everyone. He knew Lifey had to of hexed him and so he muttered a spell to remove the hex~

~Returning back to normal he cleared his throat and decided to go sit in the corner and knit a pair of hot pink socks just for the heck of it~

::Lifey waltzed over to jesse::

Nice socks, brother dear. Sorry about the hex...couldn't resist what with the quidditch game and all

::She grinned::

er...nice...pink?

Jesse looked to Lifey and grinned~ "It's okay sister, I've taken up a new hobby. Knitting." He held up his socks proudly.

::Ginny boredly danced around with Nic, wondering who the "sister" of the knitting boy was and wondering who her date was::

"I think I know them, but I'm not sure," ::she mused to herself as Nic spun her around::

~He finished his knitting and walked over and handed Lifey the newly knit socks~ "A gift for you dear sister" He said~

~Then he went to the center of the dance floor as a fast song came on and he began dancing the 'Smustle' (Sims 2 on the brain) to the song~

"Woooohoohooohoooo" He shouted getting into the groove.~

::Ginny laughed and started jumping around to the beat::

"Woooo!" ::she called out, dancing to the beat of the song::

~Jesse laughed looking to Ginny~

"Let's get everybody into it!" He then shouted around the room. "EVERYONE Do the Smustle! You sim fans know what I mean!"

~He danced more and twirled around a few times shaking his bootie~

::Ginny had no clue what the Smustle was, so she satisfied herself by sliding her feet to the right and doing a sort of an absolute pattern of a waltz without a partner.::

"Come on people let's see ya shake it!" ::She rolled her shoulders back and did a back break turn (Sarah taught me one of these, it's fuuuuuuun)::

~Jesse laughed and danced along clapping his hands then doing the electric slide and twisting around wildly ~

"This is fun!" He shouted happily.~

~He then chuckled as the song ended and then a slow song came on-which was perfect for him to go get a drink and mingle with his other friends.~

~He looked around and then to Ginny as he straightened his mask. "Well this party's fun huh? I think I will grab a drink. I'm a little winded. Thank you for the dance." He then twirled his fingers and a white rose appeared in his hand-similar like how a magician would have one appear~
~He smiled as he took and slid the flower over her ear and into her soft, red hair~

~Then as Ginny's date Nic arrived, Jesse turned and strolled off to the refreshment table where he mingled and talked with many of his friends.~

::Ginny touched the rose lightly with her fingers, and then turned away, not looking at whoever had just given it to her. She smiled up at Nic and took his hand as they walked over to the other end of the Great Hall, looking for someone else to talk to.::

::Finding no one, they strode out onto the dance floor and danced for a while. Then "Lights and Sounds" by Yellowcard came on, and they sprung apart as Ginny began dancing once again::

~He grabbed a cup of punch and sipped it as he wandered around chatting with random people here and there.~

~He then decided to step outside for some fresh air~

~The outside air was cool to his skin and the stars twinkled brightly. He smiled slightly; glad to be able to enjoy the outside scene of Hogwarts as much as being inside the castle.~

~He let out a deep sigh then straightened his mask.~

::Elana jerked awake, realizing that she had fallen asleep while sitting up in the rafters::

(OC: I had to explain my absence somehow!)

::Stretching, she yawned and looked around the ball, which had thankfully come back to life. She smoothed down her curly hair and tightened her mask, then tried to get down gracefully. Naturally, that plan backfired, seeing that she had just woken up and was a klutz anyways. She took a fistfull of her dress in her right hand to make it easier to get down and just gotten one bare foot down onto the table beneath her when her other foot slipped on the part of her dress not in her hand. Luckily, she wasn't that far above the table, and so the fall didn't cause a scene. Shakily getting off the table, she let her the bottom of her dress fall back to the ground to cover her shoeless feet. Quickly, she walked to the table where she had hidden her shoes, reached under it, grabed them and tugged them on.::

::Well, that was sure interesting. She looked at the small squirt gun that was nearly empty of grape juice in one hand, grinning. She put it on the table, leaving it for someone else to enjoy.::

::Elana smoothed her royal blue dress, tucked a stray curl behind her left ear, and felt the rose there. Forgot about that. she thought, taking it in her fingers. She twirled it around for a while, smiling and thinking fondly about the black masked boy that had given it to her, then tucked it back behind her ear. Realizing how thirsty she was, she walked over to the refreshment table, hoping to run into some friends..::

::Lifey smiled at elana and pulled her over.::

::She was really very hyper (if suffering from cramps! grrrr) and she twirled about swishing her beautiful teal gown. she really was in love with that dress....::

Hey, how's it going? I wish there were more guys

::She sighed::

On a lighter note, check out the socks my brother made me!

::She grinned holding out the lurred pink socks::

:she laughed again::

"I know! We need more boys at this school. But those socks are really pink!" Elana said, laughing. "Who's your brother?"

::She grabbed a clear plastic cup and filled it with punch, waiting for Lifey's answer.::

Naturally....Drake was "fashionably" late to the ball. He sighed as he walked through the doors of the great hall. Originally...he had had no intentions of attending the ball...but he grew bored in the Gryffindor common room all alone and decided to see what all the fuss was about. As he glanced about the room full of masked students and girls in oddly elegant dresses for a school dance he smirked. "Alright." He shook his head and slipped the black mask resting on his forehead down over his face...might as well try to have a good time. And, of course, the first place he would visit would be the snack table...he was oddly hungry for being such a skinny, lanky thing. But he shrugged and trotted over to the punch bowl, black cloak billowing behidn him much in the fashion of a great bat (or Snape, whichever you prefer.) and grabbed a cup of punch, eyeing Lifey and Elana as he leaned against the table.[/u]

(Oh my god, a guy! 'Tis a miracle! *laughs at self*)

::Elana cocked her head, hearing someone behind her. She turned, coming face-to-face with another boy in a black mask.::

"Hey," she said, smiling. "Having a nice time?" she asked sweetly.

::She took a sip of punch, leaning against the table, waiting for Lifey and the mysterious boy's answer.::

::Lifey turned as a guy entered the hall. she nudged elana.::

Well, apparently that's one wish fullfilled...hmmm i'd LOVE some icecream right now

::She laughed, looking around the tables hopefully. she brushed a bit of her loose hair behind her ear and grabbed her cup of punch, tapping her foot as a new song came on::

Yes i'm having a great time...but....well i really want to dance.

::Elana laughed, turning a delicate shade of pink. With her wand and a muttered incantation, she conjured Lifey some ice cream.::

"Hope you like vanilla," she said, grinning.

why thank you!

::She grinned happily. With a swish of her own wand, she produced peach sauce over her icecream::

mm mmm good!

::She smiled again brightly::

::She asked, offering it around::

"Why yes, of course!" said Elana, laughing as she conjured a spoon. She took a spoonful and popped it into her mouth. "Mmmmm. Delightful my dear!", she said happily.

::She turned to look back at the boy, smiling.::

(Thank goodness another guy came. Jesse's been the only one for the whole time, until now of course.)

::Lifey turned with elana and grinned at the mysterious man::

don't bother asking ::She laughed:: Yes we are ALWAYS crazy.

::She adjusted her mask slightly as it was tipping down a little::

Drake looked over at the two girls and shrugged. "I guess so...not really much goin no yet is there?" He finished off his punch and tossed the cup away, turning to face the girls. "Are you?" He couldn't help but return the girl's smile with a rather charming smirk. "I didn't plan to come at first, but I figured I'd come see what all the fuss was about." He watched at the two ate the ice cream and he pushed off of the table, walking over to the two. "So what are a pair of fine ladies such as yourselves doing at this shinding alone?"

"Are you?"

::Elana nodded, noticing the smirk on the boy's face and wondering who he could be. Before she could say anything, he continuted.::

"I didn't plan to come at first, but I figured I'd come see what all the fuss was about," he said, walking over to her and Lifey.

"So what are a pair of fine ladies such as yourselves doing at this shinding alone?"

::Elana felt the warmth of another blush creeping up her face as the boy asked.::

"Well," she said, "I wouldn't have come alone if anyone had asked me, that's for sure. But I've been having quite a nice time." Elana tried to keep her voice natural as she said this, tried not to let the boy know that she would have loved to have a date to the ball.

::She smiled brightly, hopefully covering up what her voice had let slip. She absently twirled a stray curl around her index finger, watching him and waiting for his reply.::

He nodded, leaning against the table again. "Well, as long as you're having fun." He pushed his mask up his face and smiled. "Well, now I wish that I would have planned on coming." He raised a brow and nodded. He would have loved to come with HER to the ball. "Would you like to dance? " He offered a hopeful arm and looked towards the dance floor.

::Lifey grinned as elana was led off by the charming guy. she gave her a wink and mouthed "lucky duck". Now if only HER mystery guy would show up--- she sighed and returned to her punch::

::She was reminded terribly of the book Pride and Prejudice in which there had been many more ladies than gentlemen.::

::She smiled to herself. Leave it to her to think of a book while at a huge ball and while wearing the most beautiful gown she could ever hope to see.::

"I would love to," she said, taking his hand. Elana looked back at Lifey, who winked and mouthed 'Lucky duck!' Elana winked back, grinning, and still had the grin on when she and the boy got to the dance floor.

::I can't believe this is happening! The most charming guy I have ever seen in my life has asked me, ME (!), to dance. She could barely contain her excitement.::

(Lol Elana gets all the guys, doesn't she?)

::Ginny laughed as Nic twirled her around. She began to feel breathless and slightly dizzy, so she walked over to the punch bowl and to Lifey.::

"Hey! Are you having a good time?" ::the red head turned and saw Skully:: "Hey," ::she smiled.::

::Kitty walked into the ball slowly and looked around. She wasn't sure if she should have come, but she hated staying in the Slytherin room listening to the idle gossip from all of the Slytherin girls. So she'd put on her lovely velvet black dress, did her make up and found herself walking into the room where the ball was.::

::She wore a velvet black mask that covered her eyes and concealed her identity. It seemed a little empty here and only two guys had arrived.::

::Since everyone was wearing masks, she couldn't tell who was who and so she shyly stood against the wall, feeling as if she were in a room of complete strangers.::

Hey! ::Life said to the girl.::

I wish there were more guys...but it's still fun...lots of food you know!

::She turned and saw another girl in a lovely black velvet dress. she looked rather shy so she pulled her over::

Join us! we are the ones who stand alone! ::She said with much energy:: all alone :she added with somewhat less energy:: all night ::even less enthusiasm:: no date......not dancing............ ::she stared off into space for a moment before resuming her happy high energy self again:: But we still have fun ::she grinned::

It IS!!! ::Lifey exclaimed happily, huggling her::

::She sighed. what WAS the point of wearing a beautiful gown when there was no one to dance with. she pulled out her wand and transfigured her gown into nice blue jeans and a form fitting teal top, used her wrap to tie up her hair in a poneytail, and ...no she was keeping the heels...strappy and uncomfortable or not::
