END OF TERM BALL

Caro blinked a couple of times and skipped over to Etta, jumping on her back and giggled.

"Let's go-go, Ettie-pooh, before we get the no-no from the security guards!!!"

Etta giggled at Caro.

"See this," she said pointing to her staff pass. "It means if one of those ugly security guards even attempt to give me the no-no i get to put them in a world of hurt, now lets rock!"

Etta decided now was a good time to join the band and jumped on stage, stole a guitar and started playing Sweet Child of Mine. The looks from the crowd showed their dislike of her choice of song.

"Wha? Its th only song i know on this thing!" she protested

Caro laughed and climbed on the stage, pushing the drummer aside and joined Etta in the song.

"WOOOO, GO ETTA!!!!!!!!" she called from behind the drums.

June walked into the Great Hall, disappointed that she was late, but excited for the ball!!! She glanced down at her golden gown and lightly touched her hair in its put-up state, making sure that both were perfect. Grinning, June looked around for her friends. The Purple Hippos were playing, one of June's favorite bands, and - ......... June sighed. And it looked as if Caro and Etta had decided to join them. She giggled. "Hey Caro!!!" she cried, wondering if she could even be heard above the din.

Caro looked up, and grinned as she noticed June. She waved wildly, her drumming stopping for a moment as she did so.

"HEY JUUUUUUUUUUNE!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Caro screamed, and laughed as she continued drumming.

June smiled and blew her fellow Gryffie a kiss before shaking her head in amusement as the resident HE owlie went back to drumming her heart out. June looked around, looking for people she knew.

Caro made a superb ending to the song, and threw her hat dramatically to the crowd, making bows in every direction, and blowing kisses around.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank yoooou!" Caro called, looking smug. "AND A GREAT APPLAUSE TO THE PURPLE HIPPOS TOO!!!!!!!!" she said and joined the crowd with cheering.

She jumped down from the stage and started the search of her hat.

"Has anyone seen my hat? Excuse me, has anyone seen my HAT!?" she asked as she elbowed her way through the crowd.

Etta laughed, her chest hurt from laughing and decided it may be the time to return the guitar to its owner. Handing over the instrument Etta sighed, shook hands with the guitarist gave him a quick snog, a thumbs up to her friends and jumped off stage.

Rushing back into the crowd she began to wonder if she was setting a bad example for her fellow hufflepuffs but shook her mind clear quickly as she saw her housemates grooving like mad badgers.

June laughed once more as Caro and Etta jumped off the stage. She loved those two. Suddenly, her head turned towards the great double doors as someone entered the ball. "Ame!!!!!!!!" she squealed. June ran towards her friend and gasped at her dress. "I love your dress!" she cried.

With a huff, Caro climbed on top of one of the tables nearby and placed two fingers in her mouth, letting out a loud whistle.

"OI!!!!!!!!!" she called, getting everyone's attention. "I have a serious question to ask!" she said seriously, looking heartbroken. "...has anyone seen my hat?"

Etta glanced at the sad looking Caro and then out of the corner of her eye she saw a third year boy running for the safety of the Slytherin dorms.

the hat thought Etta as she pushed her way through the crowd, grabbed the offending boy by the shoulder and dragged him towards Caro.

"Your hat my dear, and the wannabe mundungus who tried to do a runner, now, you punish whilst i distract the security," she said to her friend and quickly dashed off towards the burly looking security men and began shouting at them for no apparent reason.

Caro glared at the boy, mentally imagining herself grabbing an uzi and blow him to Uranus (GET IT!? URANUS!! HAHA xD) but instead, she snatched her hat, brushed the invisible dust aay and shoved it on her head. Then, she made a gesture to walk away, making the boy let out a reliefed breath, but instead she pulled her fist back and hit him straight in the face, making him topple over, while blood started to run from his nose.

"NEVER TOUCH MY HAT AGAIN, YOU QUOSER!!!!!" Caro screamed at him and stomped over to Etta, tacklehuggling her for saving her favourite hat.

Amber headed up to the doors that lead to the end of the term ball, she sighed as she opened the door. She was always late, shaking her head she looked around for someone she knew. She frowned as she realized most people were already in conversation, shrugging her shoulders she headed over to the punch bowl to grab a drink. It's where she always ended up spending her time at the balls anyway.

Amber screamed in surprise when Ame hugged her, and laughed when she began asking questions. She answered about her dress and hair but raised an eyebrow about the after parties.

"There are after parties?" she asked.

June laughed. "Hey Amber!!!" she cried, getting slightly hyper with the party atmosphere.

Justin wakes up from his punch-induced stupor (Are we sure this hasn't been spiked? XD) and looks around at all the new folks joining in on the Ball, noticing he's the only guy here.

He grabs and plate full of appetizers and another cup of punch and finds his seat at an empty table and looks at everyone having the time of their lives.

Amber smiled when she saw June. "Hey June! And seriously there are after parties?"

Amber shook her head and sighed. Why did no one tell her these things?

Ramiela sipped her pumpkin juice as she sat down at a table and then noticed Amber walk in.

"Hey Amber!" she said, waving to her.

"I didn't know either," June mused. She shruggd. "Oh well... but yay!!! After-parties means more dresses!" June giggled. "When I went dress shopping, I bought a few more dresses than I needed... just in case, you know." She rolled her eyes. "Okay, so I couldn't help myself," she admitted.

June looked up when someone called Amber's name. "Hey Ramiela!" she said.

Ramiela smiled.

"Hi!...it's June, right?" she asked.

Amber smiled and headed over toward Ramiela.

"Hey Ramiela, how are you?"

He jumps up when he sees Ame nearing his table, nearly knocking his food and punch off, and pulls out a chair for her.

"Hey there, Ame. How goes it? D'you want anything to eat or drink?"

"Yep," June said happily. "How're you enjoying the ball so far?" she asked.

Huggling Caro Etta giggled and untangled herself from the little owl everyone loved.

"I am rather bored my dear twin of triplets," said Etta with a longing glance at the beautiful decorations. "I do declare i must misbehave!"

And with that said, a rather mischievus look appeared in Etta's eyes as she wondered which of the streamers to use a rope to swing across the hall, or wether to start a mosh pit at the refreshments table. She looked at Caro and frinned.

"Mosh pit or swinging across the room?"

"It's alright. I'm not one for dances, but I thought I'd check it out."

"Yeah I don't dance much myself," she admitted. "Though I must admit, this ball is a bit more promising then the last one. I'm not blinding everyone with my dress this time, which is a definate plus."

"After parties? Aww..." Justin gulped his drink down and stuffed a hunk of cheese in his mouth. "I'm not a party person to begin with..."

"Do they have after party study hours?"

Ramiela laughed. "Well, I like your dress. I just borrowed one from a friend."

Ramiela looked over at Ame and laughed at her comment. It made her think about throwing an after party in the Hufflepuff Common Room as well. She'd have to run it by the others first.

June nodded at Ame and smiled. Then, she noticed Justin. "Hey Justin!" June cried. She didn't know the Ravenclaw that well, but.... weren't you supposed to socialize at a ball?

Ramiela smiled and waved at her friend, Justin. "Hey Justin! Cool ball, huh?" she called

She looked away and glanced at the table beside her filled with assorted food. Sitting down, she picked up a pumpkin pastry and took a small bite.

She looked at June. "You're in Gryffindor? I thought you were in Hufflepuff for some weird reason." she laughed at her own comment.

June giggled. "Nope," she said shaking her head. "Gryffindor all the way!" Laughing, June waved and walked over to Ame. "Hey... again," she said, pulling up a chair. "Do you like this music?"

June smiled. Ame was always so friendly.

Ramiela smiled shyly and walked over, dropping into the seat Ame gestured to.

"Hi Ame! I'm Ramiela or if you want, Rama. Either one." she greeted warmly.

"MOSH PIT!" Etta roared as she swung through the hall landing with a bang on the refreshments table.

She smiled angelically at her fellows and straightened her dress. Why do one thing when she could do both? Etta watched on amazement as a load of students flooded to the table all ready to start moshing.

"Do you think i should change out of this thing?" she asked indictating to her creased, silk gown as she held up the top of the dress strappless dresses should never be sold to me, she thought as she glanced down nor should expensive dresses.

June smiled at Etta's craziness and cowered in her chair as people began crowding towards the stage. Thinking for a moment, she said in reply, "Well, if you're only going to wear it once, then why not wear it out?"

June turned from Etta to the girl who'd suddenly appeared. "Hey Rachel!!!!!!!" June cried. "I didn't see you!"

"Hi Rach! Hi Etta!" Ramiela greeted her fellow Hufflepuffs.
