END OF TERM BALL

June laughed. "Hey Caro!" she cried and hugged her friend back.

Cat eventually stopped dancing and sat down for a bit. She sat there giving her feet some rest when she noticed Nancy, Agatha, and Anthony. She grinned and hurried up towards them. Thank the gods she was wearing something she could run it without tripping as easily as a dress that hugged her legs.

"Hey guys!" she exclaimed, giving them all hugs when she reached them. She looked at Nancy and Agatha's dresses in awe. "I feel like such an ugly duckling compared to you two." she then turned to Anthony and said, "And I love the tux."

Traci walked into the ball. Wearing a claisical jean skirt and a purple lacy kind of purple tank to make it look dressed up without all that trouble. She walked around looking for people she knew and wondered why she was here.

June turned around. "Cat!" she cried and threw her arms around her Slytherin friend. "I didn't know you were here!!!" Then, June turned and saw Traci. *Gasp!* Another Gryffie! .... Finally... "Traci!" June called and waved.

"June!" Cat exclaimed as the Gryffindor threw her arms around her. Cat chuckled and smiled at her. "Oh my gawd I love your dress to. I feel like I under dressed or something."

Traci walked over to june and cat. "How be you girls?" She asked not all that annoyed with the fact she was under dressed.

"Great!" June said. "Although I was a bit tipsy before now..." She giggled.

"I am doing alright," Cat smiled at Traci. "Feet a bit sore from line dancing earlier though."

Jordanna sighed, looking around at all the couples and people dancing and having a good time. Why had she come? She didn't really know anyone.
Her throat a little dry, she stood up and straightened her silk dress. She walked over to the punch, pouring herself a glass.

"So how are you all doing?" Cat asked everyone.

Spotting Jordanna she waved her over

Glacing around the Great Hall, Jordanna sees Ingrid waving her over. Finally someone to talk to, she thinks, walking over to her. "Hey, some party," she says, smiling at her.

Dani saw Traci and almost squeeled, she ran over to her friend and wrapped her in a large bear hug.

"Traci!" She said loudly. "Gawd I've missed you."

Following her finger as June pointed him in the direction of the firewhiskey Anthony bowed in thanks and headed straight for a bottle. He was thristy and a nice shot of the stuff would definately do the trick. However he had saw his good friend Ame wave and walk towards him. He would smile over at her and wave back as she came closer. "Well well, You look lovely this evening. Are you having fun?" He would ask her as he reached around his back feeling around the table for the bottle. He was sure he looked quite silly as he was doing a poor job of being subtle. Nevertheless he smiled and kep searching. Alas! His hand had found the bottle and in an awkward motion he swung his arm around bring the firewhiskey with it.

Popping the cork Anthony would accio two glasses and raised the bottle towards Ame. "Care for a glass?" Without awaiting her reply he began pouring them both a drink.

Draining his glass in one gulp after her toast Anthony proceeded to pour them another. This time filling them to the brim. Might as well go out with a bang he thought to himself. Though he wasn't sure if she could handle that amount or not. At that thought a small laugh escaped him as he sat the bottle back on the table. "So anything interesting happen so far? I just got here a few moments ago, and besides the line dancing, its been pretty normal." His eyes darted around the room once more, looking for anything of interest.

Knocking back another shot of the potent liquid Anthony stood there smiling, the evening was wearing on and more people began to show.

Chris looked around the Great Hall at everyone. A table had given way just moment ago, he was a bit surprised though. "Getting a little crazy." He said.

Marie laughed as Cawwie made her way to another group of people and she got back to herself, deciding to go socialize a little instead of sitting, even though her feet still hurt a little. Those heels definitely weren't the best thing to wear when staying up for so long.

Shrugging to herself, she made her way to the refreshment table where Ame and Anthony were standing. She took a bottle of firewhiskey for herself and smiled at the two. "Enjoying the evening?" she asked them as she drank some of her firewhiskey.

June heard Ame's last words and hugged her Slytherin friend. "You just read my mind!" she cried. "Let's dance!"

"Don't say that Ame, your dress is lovely too, you look great," Marie smiled at Ame, drinking from the bottle again. "I'll pass on that one," she said as Ame mentionned dancing. "My feet still hurt."

Cat heard dancing and nodded energetically. "I'd love to," she replied."All I've gotten to do so far is linedance." Cat chuckled at the memory of the little country session of the night.

Chris looked at Becca. He didn't really like dancing. He wasn't going to dance tonight, that was for sure. "Cool." HE said.

"I guess I could try." Chris said, "I'm not that good. I inheirted it from my dad of course."

Cat smiled when Becca said she loved to dance. "Wanna go Becca?" she asked.

She noticed Chris not exactly wanting to dance. Becca seem to notice too, for she was attempting to persuade him, which seemed to have worked.

"It doesn't matter if you can dance or not," Cat said. "Its whether or not you have fun. I can't dance, but I do anyway."

"Ok, let's go then." Chris said.

"agreed!" becca said to cat's statment about being good at dancing. "I think i'm a wonderful dancer, but some people think differently, love to dance anyways," she smiled.

"Let's dance!" she giggled, answering to cat's 'wanna go Becca?"

Chris stared to walk out onto the dance floor.

Cat grinned when they both agreed to dance. She began walking to the dance floor.

Chris kind of stood there for a few seconds and then started to move around.

Cat began dancing, following the beat. She hadn't danced in a while so who knows how horrible she was doing.

Chris had never danced before except for when he was a child, he was actually pretty good, for a newbie.

Cat smiled at Chris when she saw he wasn't doing to bad. "You're doing great." she complimented. "I hope my bro doesn't arrive and decide to dance. His dancing is dreadful."

"My brother's is horrible to." CHris said. "He usually dances everywhere, I hate it."

"My brother is the reason why people say white guys cant dance," Cat chuckled. "I don't even think the way he dances should be considered dancing."

Chris laughed, "That's really funny. When I watch my brother dance my eyes start to burn." He joked.

Cat chuckled, "Then he must be pretty bad. Well at least are brothers aren't here. I mean my brother would probably end up stomping on everyone's toes within the first 5 seconds."

"Thank goodness my brother isn't here." Chris said, "Everyone would have left by now. Luckily he is at home."

Cat nodded in agreement, "Same would happen with my brother's presence. He is at home too. Lucky for everyone dances aren't his thing."

"All well," Chris said. "Do you think the HEadmistress will make an appearance?"

Jake walked quietly into the great hall and glanced around at those dancing. None of them caught his interest but it wasn't from attitude, cockiness or thinking he was above them. He simply just didn't like to speak. Making his way quietly to a nearby table he sat down and sipped at a glass of water that appeared there for him.

Leaning back and glancing around quietly he thought of his past and rubbed his eyes. he looked exhausted but he wasn't in the sense of physical, just mental. His long black hair rested neatly over his shoulders, his face perfectly molded, as if from stone and his cloths a dark black as well as the eye liner he wore.

No he wasn't making a statement for those that happened to glance at him. He just prefered the color, it was plain and easy on the eyes in daylight. His arms crossed over his chest and a strand of hair fell over his face. Blowing it slightly it moved up and to the side and he let a small smile twitch at the edge of his lips.

Turning his head he saw the masses talking amongst themselves and shifting he moved his wand so it didn't dig into his hip. Placing his elbows on the table he placed his fingers together, lacing them of course, and rested his chin on them like they were a cradle for his head.

After a while he got up and began to walk around. His black robes swirling around his feet majesticly and giving him the appearence of gliding, that was no magic trick or a show of power, he'd just learned to walk lightly with each step when he was younge. He was not at all that powerful and would never himself claime to be such.

Chris looked at the girl who just said hey to them, "Hey, I'm fine." He said.

Jordanna drank the last bit of her firewisky, feeling slightly tipsy. She placed her hands on the sides of the chair and pushed herself up, the room spinning as she did. She took a few steps forward and steadied herself with a hand on the wall.
Careful to avoid all the dancing couples, she walked through the crowd, not very graceful in her drunken state.

She was almost to the door of the Great Hall when she walked straight into someone, falling to the floor. She hurried to stand up, the world spinning once again.
Blushing in embarrasment, she brushed any dirt off of her silk dress and looked at the person she had run into. She noticed his eyes first, decorated with black eye liner, then his hair, which was also black and a bit longer than her own. She realized she was just staring at him and blushed once again. "I'm so terribly sorry," she said, looking at what he was wearing, all black, of course. "I think I might be a bit drunk," she slurred, averting her eyes back to his own.

June looked around. "Becca!!!!!!!!" she squealed and hugged her friend. "Hey Chris and Cat!"
